Chess Coaching - 116167

Presented by the National Scholastic Chess Foundation, a nonprofit that has taught chess to children since 1990. Level 1 is for beginners: students start with piece names, values, and movements, along with the rules of the game and how to record their moves. From there, they learn to select good moves and avoid common mistakes, understand pawn structure, and master key tactics like pins, forks, discovered attacks, and various ways to deliver checkmate.

By the end of the series, every student will be equipped to play a complete game of chess and start building real confidence at the board.
