Get ready for fun and creativity! Taught by artist Rachel Gordon, this six-week course will teach young artists, ages 5 to 8, the fundamentals of drawing as they come up with their own designs from fashion and posters to superheroes.
Week one: Study outfits and poses of runway models to create your own costume design.
Week two: Practice drawing the face by designing your own motivational poster with you front and center.
Week Three: Learn how to draw landscapes and create a postcard for a destination you would like to visit.
Week Four: Examine examples of Pop Art/Commercial Art before creating a poster of a fictional product.
Week Five: Learn how to draw animals before composing a drawing of one hiding
Week Six: Lean to draw figures by studying sketches of your favorite superheroes before designing an original hero.
