Middle Eastern rhythms and drums: Instruction will include learning syllables used to recite rhythms, hand positions, and rhythm patterns from Turkey, Armenia, Arabic countries, and Greece.
WHAT TO BRING:
Any type of hand drum to start, but preferably the Middle Eastern drum called by many names: dumbek, derbeki, darbuka, dumbeleki, tumpuk, Egyptian tabla. Ask the instructor for where to purchase the drum.
